Virtual reality (VR) allows training with real-world scenarios in the safety of an immersive environment. Users test and practice on-the-job and emergency situations; move through environments that includes teammates, enemy combatants, or civilians; and prepare for emergencies. By augmenting mission planning or training with VR simulations, trainees can interact within the realism of a virtual environment and efficiently transfer their skills into the real world in a much more cost-effective way.
